Keynote Address: A Joyous Walk through the Biologic Landscape
The session will highlight the amazing progress of therapy for psoriasis and atopic dermatitis over the past two decades.
Many dermatology nurses would like to present at conference or write a publication. Teaching colleagues by sharing clinical expertise, research, and evidence-based practice is invaluable. While some people make it seem easy, others find the thought of speaking or writing a scary undertaking. This session will walk you through the organized development of a dermatology presentation. Then you will see how easily you can expand your professionalism and turn it into a publication.
This session reviews the work of the Coalition for At-Risk Skin (CARS) and its recently published 21 Consensus Statements on At-Risk Skin (November 2022). All dermatology providers need to remain abreast of activities conducted outside the specialty of dermatology that influence skin health. Both presenters are past presidents of the DNA serving multiple organizations outside of DNA to represent dermatology nursing practice including CARS. The values of CARS including collaboration, inclusive. This presentation highlights a consensus document published as a supplement to Wound Management and Prevention & WOUNDS in November 2022. Both presenters contributed to this document as authors. This document was created through formal voting consensus process, evidence-based, outcome-focused and empowering and the findings of this document are synergistic with DNA.
The distinct forms and management recommendations for each type of acne will be discussed.
A thorough understanding of Skin Barrier Function and repair mechanisms are vital to the nurse helping patients restore and maintain optimal skin health.
